Zavodske Airport is located 5 kilometres southwest of Simferopol, the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Established in 1914 as part of the aircraft factory "Anatra," it is classified as a Class D unpaved airdrome and operates during daylight hours.

Scythian Neapolis, also known as Kermenchik, was an Iranic settlement that existed in the Crimean Peninsula from the end of the 3rd century BC until the second half of the 3rd century AD. Scythian Neapolis is situated 4 km northeast of Zaliska.
