Thiseio, also known as Thissio on signage, is one of the oldest stations on Athens Metro Line 1, located in Thiseio 8.603 km from Piraeus. It is located in Athens and took its name from the nearby Temple of Hephaestus which is famous as Theseion.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Temple of Hephaestus

The Temple of Hephaestus or Hephaisteion, is a well-preserved Greek temple dedicated to Hephaestus; it remains standing largely intact today. It is a Doric peripteral temple, and is located at the north-west side of the Agora of Athens, on top of the Agoraios Kolonos hill. Temple of Hephaestus is situated 160 metres southeast of Thiseio metro station.
