The Great Mosque of Samarra or Al-Malwiya Mosque is a former congregational mosque, now in partial ruins, in Samarra, in the Saladin Governorate of Iraq. Great Mosque of Samarra is situated 2½ km north of Al Jabiria External Road.

The Al-Askari Shrine, also known as the 'Askariyya Shrine and the Al-Askari Mosque, is a Twelver Shi'ite mosque and mausoleum, located in the city of Samarra, in the Saladin Governorate of Iraq. Shrine of Imam Ali al Hadi and Imam Hassan al Askari is situated 2 km northwest of Al Jabiria External Road.

The Samarra Barrage is a multi-purpose barrage on the Tigris River adjacent of Samarra and north of Baghdad, Iraq. The main purpose of the dam is to divert floodwater in the Tigris River to Lake Tharthar through the Tharthar depression along with irrigation and an 84 MW hydro-electricity station. Samarra Barrage is situated 3½ km northwest of Al Jabiria External Road.
