Sabalan or Savalan, also known as Sultan Savalan, is an inactive stratovolcano in Iranian Azerbaijan, particularly Ardabil province. At 4,811 metres above sea level, it is the third-highest mountain in Iran and the Alborz mountain range. Mount Sabalan is situated 2½ km northeast of Kūh-e Kasareh Dāghī.
