Yumuktepe

Yumuktepe, also known as Yümüktepe, is a tell within the city borders of Mersin, Turkey. In 1936, the mound was on the outskirts of Mersin, but after a rapid increase of population, the mound was surrounded by the Toroslar municipality of Mersin.

Müftü Mosque is a historic mosque in Mersin, Turkey. The mosque is to the east of Efrenk River, also known as Müftü River referring to the mosque. The mosque was commissioned by Müftü Emin in 1884. Müftü Mosque is situated 2½ km south of Portakal.

Yenişehir is a municipality and district of Mersin Province, Turkey. Its area is 139 km2, and its population is 278,961. It covers the west-central part of the city of Mersin and the adjacent countryside. Yenişehir is situated 3½ km south of Portakal.
