Jermuk is a mountain spa town and the centre of the Jermuk Municipality of the Vayots Dzor Province in southern Armenia, at a road distance of 53 km east of the provincial capital Yeghegnadzor.

Kechut, formerly Kushchi and Kush-Bilyak, is a village in the Jermuk Municipality of the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. It is located on the western coast of the Kechut Reservoir which is a section of the Arpa river, as well as at the beginning of the Kechut–Azatek waterway, which is one of the artificial waterways that provide water to Lake Sevan and stabilize its water level. Kechut is situated 4 km south of Drepaloy K..
