Tral is a town, sub-district, and a notified area committee in the Pulwama district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The town is situated at a distance of 40 kilometres from the summer capital, Srinagar and 26 kilometres from district headquarters, Pulwama.

Aripal is a subtehsil in the Tral area of Indian part of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the eight tehsils of Pulwama district, and was created when Pulwama changed from a four-tehsil structure to an eight-tehsil structure. Aripal Tehsil is situated 9 km northwest of Diwar.
