Tirur railway station is an NSG–3 category Indian railway station in Palakkad railway division of Southern Railway zone. It is the oldest railway station in Kerala. Tirur railway station is situated 3½ km northwest of Kānnīrakkōd.

Vairankode, also spelled as Vairamkode, is a small village in Thirunavaya grama Panchayath of Tirur Taluk in Malappuram district, Kerala. It is well known for Sree Vairankode Bhagavathi temple, one of the oldest and most popular Bhagavathi temples in Kerala. Vairankode is situated 3 km southeast of Kānnīrakkōd.
