Tõravere is a small borough in Nõo Parish, Tartu County, in southern Estonia. It is located about 5 km northeast of the town of Elva and about 20 km southwest of the city of Tartu.Places of Interest

The Tartu Observatory is the largest astronomical observatory in Estonia. On 1 January 2018, Tartu Observatory was joined again to the University of Tartu, and the observatory is now an institute of the university.

Elva is a town in Elva Parish, Tartu County, Estonia. Elva has two large lakes: Lake Verevi, with a sandy and well-developed beach area that is very popular in the summer, and Lake Arbi, with wet reed grown shores. Elva is situated 6 km southwest of Tõravere alevik.
