Haanja is a village in Rõuge Parish, Võru County, in southeastern Estonia. It's located 16 km south from the town of Võru. Between 1991 and 2017 the village was the administrative centre of Haanja Parish.Places of Interest

Suur Munamägi is the highest peak in Estonia, reaching 318 metres above sea level. It is located near the village of Haanja, in Võru County in the southeastern corner of Estonia, close to the borders of both Latvia and Russia.
