Playa El Tarajal

Playa El Tarajal is a beach of Ceuta, bordering northern Morocco. The beach is about 250 metres in length with an average width of about 15 metres. The beach is at the southern tip of Ceuta where the N13 coastal road leaves for Morocco.

Benzú is a small settlement within the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta. It has a population of 1,987 according to the 2011 census, divided into two units with Ceuta as its municipality. Benzú is situated 5 km north of Dar El Bouhali.

Ceuta is one of two Spanish exclaves in North Africa. The territory had several rulers before the Portuguese in 1415 took control of this city east of Tangier. Since 1580 it has been under Spanish administration, but has the status of an autonomous city.
