Perejil Island, also known as Parsley Island, is a small, uninhabited rocky islet located 200 metres off the coast of Morocco. It is administered by Spain as one of the plazas de soberanía, and its sovereignty is disputed by Morocco. Isla Perejil is situated 3 km west of Houmet Sahet Zitoune.

Jebel Musa is a mountain in the northernmost part of Morocco, on the African side of the Strait of Gibraltar. It is part of the Rif mountain chain. The mountain is claimed by some to be the southern Pillar of Hercules, Mons Abila. Jebel Musa is situated 3 km southwest of Houmet Sahet Zitoune.

Ceuta is one of two Spanish exclaves in North Africa. The territory had several rulers before the Portuguese in 1415 took control of this city east of Tangier. Since 1580 it has been under Spanish administration, but has the status of an autonomous city.
