Tegher Monastery is an early 13th-century Armenian monastery and church located on the southeastern slopes of Mount Aragats near the modern village of Tegher, and across the gorge from the village of Byurakan in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Tegher Monastery is situated 3½ km east of Khnusik.

Avan is a village in the Ashtarak Municipality of the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. The population of the village is mainly Armenian. It is home to the basilica-style church of Surb Astvatsatsin that sits along a street just off the main road beside the main cemetery. Avan is situated 2½ km west of Khnusik.
