Grand Muveran

The Grand Muveran is a mountain of the Bernese Alps, located on the border between the cantons of Vaud and Valais. At 3,051 metres, it is the highest summit of the group lying between the Rhone knee and the Pas de Cheville and the westernmost three-thousander of the Bernese Alps. Grand Muveran is situated 4 km north of Jorasse.

The Petit Muveran is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, overlooking Ovronnaz in Valais. The summit is located on the border between Vaud and Valais. As its name suggests, it is situated near the higher Grand Muveran. Petit Muveran is situated 2½ km northwest of Jorasse.

The Dent Favre is a mountain in the Bernese Alps, located between the Dent de Morcles and the Grand Muveran. Its summit straddles the border between the Swiss cantons of Vaud and Valais. Dent Favre is situated 3 km west of Jorasse.

Ovronnaz is a French speaking village located in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. It lies in the municipality of Leytron, close to Martigny. The village is located on the south side of the Bernese Alps, on a terrace above the Rhone river, at an altitude of 1,330 metres.
