Igor I. Sikorsky Memorial Airport is a public airport in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, owned by the city of Bridgeport. It is three miles southeast of downtown, in the town of Stratford.

Pleasure Beach

Pleasure Beach is the Bridgeport portion of a Connecticut barrier beach that extends 2.5 miles westerly from Point No Point. Prior to June, 2014, when Pleasure Beach re-opened, the area was Connecticut's largest and most recent ghost town after it was abandoned in the late 1990s due to a fire on the bridge connecting it to the mainland.

The Gateway Village Historic District encompasses a World War I-era housing project on the east side of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Centered on Alanson Road, the project was developed in the later years of the war to provide emergency housing for workers in the city's munitions factories. Gateway Village Historic District is situated 2 miles northwest of Stewart B McKinney National Wildlife Refuge.
