According to the population census conducted by the Institut National de la Statistique Benin on February 15, 2002, the arrondissement had a total population of 6057. Gbozounmè is situated 4 km south of Ko-Koumolou.

According to the population census conducted by the Institut National de la Statistique Benin on February 15, 2002, the arrondissement had a total population of 9,498. Daagbé is situated 5 km southeast of Ko-Koumolou.
Avrankou
Avrankou is a town in Southern Benin. The original is derived from Avlan and KOU. Later, the French changed the name to its present as they found Avlankou difficult to pronounce.Ko-Koumolou
