Rampur is a municipality in Palpa District in Lumbini Province of West southern Nepal. According to hindu mythology, Maharishi Vasistha taught Yogavasistha to lord Rama in the cave of Rampur. Rampur is situated 8 km north of Wāṅlāṅ.
