With over 135,000 m2 and 3,418 rooms, the Royal Palace of Madrid is the largest royal palace in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Palacio Real de Madrid is situated 330 metres northwest of Plaza de la Villa.

Teatro Real is situated 300 metres north of Plaza de la Villa.
