Phidim Municipality is the headquarters of Panchthar District in the Koshi Province of eastern Nepal. Its old name is Pheden, which in Limbu langauage means land on top of hills. Phidim Municipality is situated 4½ km southwest of Chiwāḍā̃ḍā.
