San Bernardino is a town in Paraguay, located on the shores of Ypacarai Lake in the Cordillera Department. It is a popular holiday resort for people from Greater Asunción.

Ypacarai is a small town around 40km from Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. Buses pass through it on the way to San Bernardino and other destinations to the east. It is very small, but quite pleasant. A nice place to stop for an hour if you have the time.

It is recognized nationally and internationally for the ñandutí, a form of traditional lacemaking, for which it is known as the "city of ñandutí". Itauguá is situated 6 km southwest of Costa Lago.
