Newtown is a town in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is located on the R494 regional road 7 km west of Nenagh. As of the 2016 census, the population was 309. Newtown is situated 3½ km northwest of Toorfune.

Nenagh is a market town in County Tipperary, Ireland: in Irish it's Aonach Urmhumhan, the market Fair of Ormond. Tipperary was from 1838 divided into a north and south riding, but this was abolished in 2014, so Nenagh became the county town jointly with Clonmel and had a population in 2022 of 9900.
