Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport, also known as Paramaribo-Zanderij International Airport, and locally referred to simply as JAP, is an airport located in the town of Zanderij, 45 kilometres south of Paramaribo, and is a hub for airline carrier Surinam Airways. Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport is situated 3½ km east of Zuid.

Cola Creek is a blackwater creek in Suriname's Para District. The name refers to the colour of the water, which resembles that of Coca-Cola. On weekends many tourists visit the creek from Paramaribo as it is only a short drive away.
