Inis Óirr or Inisheer is the smallest and most easterly of the Aran Islands of County Galway in the west of Ireland. It's only 10 km from the Cliffs of Moher on the mainland coast of County Clare, and is formed of the same bare limestone as the Burren.

Creggankeel Fort is a stone fort and National Monument located on the island of Inisheer, Ireland. It also contains a later Christian site, the Grave of the Seven Daughters. Creggankeel Fort is situated 1¼ km northeast of Inisheer Lighthouse.

MV Plassy, or Plassey, was a cargo ship in the Irish Merchant Service, operating during the 1950s. It was built as HMS Juliet, a Shakespearian-class naval trawler of the Royal Navy at the start of the Second World War, and sold into merchant service at the end of the conflict. Shipwreck is situated 2 km northeast of Inisheer Lighthouse.
