Kangchenjunga is the world's third-highest mountain at 8,586 m. It straddles the border of India and Nepal and can be visited from either side: Other than these, the mountain is famously visible from North Bengal in India, particularly Darjeeling. Kangchenjunga is situated 4 km east of Kāṅbāchen.

Yalung Kang is a 8,505 m high minor summit of the Kangchenjunga massif found in the Himalayan range. The peak lies 1.16 km west of Kanchenjunga's main summit in Taplejung, Nepal. Yalung Kang is situated 3 km southeast of Kāṅbāchen.
