Porth Ceiriad is a south-east facing beach and bay in the parish of Llanengan, near to Abersoch, in the county of Gwynedd, North Wales. It has several interesting geological features.

St Tudwal's Lighthouse on Saint Tudwal's Island West is active, but unstaffed. The site of the lighthouse, which marks the north end of Cardigan Bay, was purchased by Trinity House in 1876 at the sum of £111 and the next year the stone building was complete. St Tudwal’s Lighthouse is situated 1½ miles east of Cilan.

Llanengan is a small village and community 1.2 mi around Abersoch in Gwynedd in north-west Wales. It had a population of 2,024 at the 2001 census, which had been reduced to 1,989 at the 2011 Census.

Abersoch is a village in Llŷn particularly favoured for sailing. The village and the roads to the headlands west of it tend to get very crowded. Packed with holiday homes, making housing unaffordable to most locals, it becomes a bit of a ghost town outside of the main tourist season.
