The Palácio do Planalto in Brasília is the official workplace of the president of Brazil. The building was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in 1958 and inaugurated on 21 April 1960. Palácio do Planalto is situated 730 metres east of Itamaraty Palace.

Praça dos Três Poderes or Three Powers Plaza is a plaza in Brasília, the capital of Brazil. The name is derived from the presence of the three branches of government around the plaza: the Executive, represented by the Palácio do Planalto; the Legislative represented by the National Congress of Brazil; and the Judiciary, represented by the Supreme Federal Court. Praça dos Três Poderes is situated 640 metres east of Itamaraty Palace.

The Cathedral of Brasília is the Roman Catholic cathedral serving Brasília, Brazil, and serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Brasília. It was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and engineered by Brazilian structural engineer Joaquim Cardozo, and was completed and dedicated on May 31, 1970. Cathedral of Brasília is situated 1 km west of Itamaraty Palace.
