Parthenon

The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, that was dedicated to the goddess Athena. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of classical Greek art, and the Parthenon is considered an enduring symbol of ancient Greece, Western civilization, and democracy. Parthenon is situated 540 metres south of Monastiraki Square.

Hadrian's Library is the ruin of a monumental building created by Roman Emperor Hadrian in AD 132 on the north side of the Acropolis of Athens. The main entrance to the library was part of the Stoa of Hadrian with columns of Karystian marble and Pentelic capitals. Hadrian’s Library is situated 120 metres southeast of Monastiraki Square.
Tzistarakis Mosque

The Tzistarakis Mosque is a former mosque in Monastiraki Square, central Athens, in the Attica region of Greece. Built in 1759 during the Ottoman era, the building has since been repurposed as a traditional art museum – as an annex of the Museum of Greek Folk Art.
