Stowfield quarry

Stowfield quarry is a limestone quarry in the Forest of Dean about 2 km south of Staunton, near Coleford, Gloucestershire, England. As well as primary extraction of limestone as aggregates, the quarry crushing plant also produces secondary crushed materials from off-site wastes, such as demolition concrete and road planings, to produce MOT Type 1 and 6F2 / 6F5 materials.

Astridge Wood is a 19.42-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, England, notified in 1985. The site is listed in the 'Forest of Dean Local Plan Review' as a Key Wildlife Site.

Puzzlewood

Puzzlewood is an ancient woodland site and tourist attraction, near Coleford in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, England. The site, covering 14 acres, shows evidence of open-cast iron ore mining dating from the Roman period, and possibly earlier. Puzzlewood is situated 2½ miles southeast of Blake’s Wood.

Lady Park Wood National Nature Reserve

Lady Park Wood National Nature Reserve is a 45-hectare nature reserve straddling the borders of Gloucestershire in England and Monmouthshire in Wales. Most of the wood is in Wales – where it forms Wales' easternmost point – but it is managed under agreement with Natural England. Lady Park Wood National Nature Reserve is situated 1½ miles north of Blake’s Wood.
