Carnedd Dafydd is a mountain peak in the Carneddau range in Snowdonia, Wales, and is the third highest peak in Wales, or the fourth if Crib y Ddysgl on the Snowdon ridge is counted.

Pen yr Ole Wen is the seventh highest mountain in Snowdonia and in Wales. It is the most southerly of the Carneddau range. The mountain lies to the north of Idwal Cottage youth hostel on the A5 road, from where it has a pyramidal appearance.

Ffynnon Lloer is a lake in the Carneddau range of mountains in Snowdonia, North Wales. It lies below the peaks of Pen yr Ole Wen and Carnedd Dafydd at a height of 2,225 feet and covers an area of some 6 acres.

Cwm Idwal is a cirque in the Glyderau range of mountains in northern Snowdonia, the national park in the mountainous region of North Wales. Its main interest is to hill walkers and rock climbers, but it is also of interest to geologists and naturalists, given its combination of altitude, aspect and terrain. Cwm Idwal is situated 3 miles south of Foel Meirch.

Bethesda is a town in Gwynedd, North Wales. It is often known locally as Pesda. The town lies at the foot of the Nant Francon pass, leading up the Ogwen valley into the heart of the Snowdonia mountains. It is ideal for walking Snowdonia.

Mynydd Llandygai is a small, partly forested hill in Gwynedd, North Wales. It forms the start of the Glyderau ridge. It is also the name of the quarry village at the base of the hill situated at the edge of Snowdonia National Park at grid reference SH600656. Mynydd Llandygai is situated 3½ miles west of Foel Meirch.
