Harwood Beck is a tributary of the River Tees in County Durham which forms a short valley, and the village is made of the scattered houses and farms which run the length of the valley. Harwood is situated 2½ miles northwest of Langdon Beck.

Bowlees is a small village in County Durham, England. It is situated near Newbiggin, on the other side of Teesdale from Holwick. The visitor centre in the village was formerly run by the Durham Wildlife Trust. Bowlees is situated 4 miles southeast of Langdon Beck.
