Richborough Castle

Richborough Castle is a Roman Saxon Shore fort better known as Richborough Roman Fort. It is situated in Richborough near Sandwich, Kent. Substantial remains of the massive fort walls still stand to a height of several metres.

Sandwich railway station serves Sandwich in Kent, England. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Southeastern. The station is 8+1⁄4 miles south of Ramsgate on the Kent Coast Line. Sandwich railway station is situated 2½ miles southeast of Cooper Street.

Richborough is a settlement north of Sandwich on the east coast of the county of Kent, England. Richborough lies close to the Isle of Thanet. The population of the settlement is included in the civil parish of Ash.

Ash is a village and civil parish in the Dover district of east Kent about three miles west of Sandwich. The civil parish has a population of 2,767, increasing to 3,365 at the 2011 Census, and includes the villages of Ash, Westmarsh, Ware, Hoaden and Richborough.

Coombe is a settlement in the English county of Kent. It lies between Ash-next-Sandwich and Woodnesborough. According to Edward Hasted in 1800, it was a hamlet in the western section of the parish of Woodnesborough.
