The Stiperstones is a distinctive hill in Shropshire, England. The quartzite rock of the ridge formed some 480 million years ago. During the last Ice Age Stiperstones lay on the eastern margin of the Welsh ice sheet.

The Hoarstones, or Hoar Stone Circle, is a stone circle in the civil parish of Chirbury with Brompton in the English county of Shropshire. The Hoarstones are part of a tradition of stone circle construction that spread throughout much of Britain, Ireland, and Brittany during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Ages, over a period between 3300 and 900 BCE. Hoarstones is situated 2½ miles northwest of The Bog.

It is to the west of the Stiperstones ridge and east of Stapeley Hill, at an altitude of about 342 metres, and is some 2 miles from the England–Wales border to the west.
