Welney is a village and civil parish in the Fens of England and the county of Norfolk. The village is about 10 miles south-west of the town of Downham Market, 20 miles south of the town of King's Lynn and 45 miles west of the city of Norwich.

It is on the border of the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, 8 kilometres to the east of March, Cambridgeshire. Tipps End is situated 2½ miles northwest of Gold Hill.
