Gijón is a port and metropolis in Asturias on the north coast of Spain. With a population of 270,000 in 2024, it's mostly modern but has an attractive old centre and many cultural attractions.

Villaviciosa is a town on the coast of Asturias in northwest Spain, historically a port and a stopover on the pilgrimage trail to Santiago. The town population in 2023 was 6600, with another 9000 in its outlying villages.

Grado is a town in Asturias in northern Spain, known in Asturian as Grau. With a population of 9700 in 2027, it's a commuter town for Oviedo 27 km east.

Piedrasblancas
Piedrasblancas is the capital town of the municipality of Castrillón, in the province of Asturias, Spain. It is 5 km west of Avilés, 32 km west of Gijón, 40 km northwest of Oviedo and 6 km east of Asturias Airport.Gedrez

Gedrez is a lovely village and parish in Cangas del Narcea, in the southwest of Asturias, surrounded by green forests and giant rocky mountains. Gedrez is the capital of the Fuentes del Narcea natural park, and another natural park, the Reserva de Muniellos, is a 10-min drive away.
Cornellana

Cornellana or Corniana is a village in Asturias in northern Spain, with a population of around 550 in 2023. It's a stopover on Camino Primitivo, the original route of the pilgrimage trail to Santiago.
