Ballymote

Ballymote is a town in in the northwest of Ireland. With a population in 2016 of 1549 it's a small place, a commuter village for Sligo. It has a castle dating from 1300 but its main attractions are the prehistoric sites dotted around the surrounding countryside, the best known being Carrowkeel.
