Ballymote is a town in County Sligo in the northwest of Ireland. The town's population in 2022 was 1,700. It has a castle dating from 1300 but its main attractions are the prehistoric sites dotted around the surrounding countryside, the best known being Carrowkeel.

Enniscrone or Inishcrone is a beach resort in County Sligo, with a population in 2022 of 1300. The nearest town of any size is Ballina 14 km south.

Strandhill is a village in County Sligo, 9 km west of Sligo town on the south shore of the bay, with a population in 2022 of 2000. Its name is apt: a great expanse of strand before it and a steep hill behind, the scarp of Knocknarea.
Rosses Point

Rosses Point is a village in County Sligo with a population of 900 in 2022. It's a fishing village at the outflow of Sligo Bay, and "Ross" means the peninsula between that and Drumcliffe Bay further north.
