Broome

Broome is the largest town in the region of , with 14,660 residents in 2021. Established through the pearling industry of the late 19th century, it became a beach resort in the 1980s.

The opened on 9 April 1889 and is now known as the Broome Court House. Constructed in 1879, the facility was used as a cable station until March 1914.

Prison
is an Australian in Broome, Western Australia. It is one of two prisons in Western Australia's region. In 2012 it was announced that the prison would be closed in 2015 following the opening of the in , but this plan was shelved in 2015.
