Colchester Castle is a Norman castle in Colchester, Essex, England, dating from the second half of the eleventh century. The keep of the castle is mostly intact and is the largest example of its kind anywhere in Europe, due to it being built on the foundations of the Roman Temple of Claudius.

Berechurch is a suburb of Colchester in Essex, England. Berechurch was formerly a separate civil parish. In 1891 the parish had a population of 167. On 26 March 1897 the parish was abolished and the area absorbed into Colchester.
