Outer Dhaka

The outer suburbs of are a large semi-rural and industrial area in the north and east of the capital. Uttara, in the north, is home to the major entry point for most visitors to the country, Shahjalal International Airport.

is a shopping mall in , Bangladesh. It was inaugurated on 6 September 2013. Construction began in 2002, by Jamuna Builders Ltd, a subsidiary of the Jamuna Group and the exterior was completed in 2008.

is a multidisciplinary super-specialty tertiary-care hospital in , and part of Evercare Group. It was previously called Apollo Hospital Dhaka.

is an International Baccalaureate World School in , Bangladesh that was established in 1999. The school enrolls students in the age range of 2–18, from Playgroup through to Grade 12, providing an international education for local and expatriate children living in Bangladesh.

North is a district that can be further divided into Gulshan-Banani, an upper-class district which hosts the diplomatic zone as well as several ritzy hotels and five star restaurants, and Mirpur, an industrial area housing the city zoo, national stadium and botanical gardens.

Suburb
is an upscale residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located on the east of and northeast of Gulshan across Gulshan-Baridhara Lake. It has special zones designated for diplomats, and many of the city's foreign embassies and high commissions are situated here.
