Antwerp is the capital of the eponymous province in the region of Flanders in Belgium. At a population of just over half a million people, it is the second largest city in Belgium, and it has a major European port.

Ghent is a city in East Flanders in Belgium. Ghent is a city with a population of 265,000 in 2020, with rich history. During the Middle Ages, Ghent was one of the richest and most powerful cities in Europe.

East Flanders is one of the five provinces of Flanders. Its capital is Ghent. Four major rivers - Scheldt, Leie, Dender and Durme - run through the province area and lend their name, fame and strength to the region.
West Flanders
