Christmas Island is one of the islands of the Indian Ocean, south of Indonesia and some distance northwest of Australia, of which it is a territory.


Île Saint-Paul is a small, volcanic outcrop in the deep Indian ocean, located at approximately 38'42" and 77'32", about 85 kilometres south-west of Île Amsterdam.

The British Indian Ocean Territory is unsurprisingly among the islands of the Indian Ocean, south of India, about halfway between Madagascar and Indonesia.

Tromelin Island is a minor one of the islands of the Indian Ocean, approximately 500 miles east of Madagascar and 500 miles north of Reunion.

Europa Island is nowhere near Europe. It is a small atoll off East Africa, about halfway between southern Madagascar and southern Mozambique.

Juan de Nova Island is an island in the Indian Ocean off East Africa, about one-third of the way from Madagascar to Mozambique.
