Lower Rhine

Lower Rhine is a region in the state of in along the river Rhine below the . As well as the immediate banks of the river, it includes the lowlands extending westwards of it until the border. , the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, is included in the region, alongside the cities of and facing it across the Rhine.
