Santa Marta, officially the Distrito Turístico, Cultural e Histórico de Santa Marta, is a port city on the coast of the Caribbean Sea in northern Colombia.
Aracataca

Aracataca is a small town in the Magdalena Department of Colombia, to the south of Santa Marta. Largely unknown to travelers and even to the guidebooks, this town absolutely should not be overlooked in the itinerary of anyone with any interest in Gabriel García Márquez.
Ciénaga

Ciénaga is a mid-size port city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. With a population of 110,000, it is the second largest city in Magdalena Department. The city is a popular stopover point for travelers en route between Barranquilla and Santa Marta.

Taganga

Taganga is a traditional fishing village and corregimiento of Santa Marta, located on the Caribbean coast of Colombia at about 10 minutes or 3 kilometres north of Santa Marta.

Ciudad Perdida is an ancient, ruined city located in the Colombian jungle close to Santa Marta. The ruins are entirely within a protected natural area, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Natural Park.
Tayrona National Park

The popular Tayrona National Park lies on the Caribbean coast near Santa Marta in Colombia. It has some of South America's loveliest coastline. Minca

Minca is a small town 20 km away from Santa Marta in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. It sits 580 m above sea level with a slightly cooler climate than the coast, within a lush tropical forest, and as such is a popular retreat for tourists looking for a relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Marta.
