Margate

Margate is a seaside resort on the north coast, with a population in 2021 of more than 64,000. It's suffered the usual decline of English seaside towns but its beach is still thronged on warm summer weekends, and there are several places of interest for cold wet days.

The , sometimes called the Shell Temple, is an ornate underground in the seaside town of Margate, , England. The grotto, which has a passageway and main room, was dug out from chalk, a soft limestone common in the region.

is an amusement park and entertainment centre based on a traditional English seaside funfair located in Margate, Kent, England. The site of the park was first used for amusement rides in 1880, although the Dreamland name was not used until 1920 when the park's Grade II* listed Scenic Railway wooden rollercoaster was opened.
