Port Macquarie is a coastal beachside city on the New South Wales Mid-North Coast, approximately 400 km north of Sydney and 550 km south of Brisbane. The Port Macquarie–Hastings area had a population of 86,762 in 2021.
Cottan-Bimbang National Park

Cottan-Bimbang National Park is a small national park on the border of the Mid-North Coast and Southern New England regions of New South Wales. The national park isn't incredibly popular by any means, other than providing a short stopover for travellers on the Oxley Highway either up or down the giant ascent/descent of the Great Dividing Range.

Taree is a city on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. It is a reasonable place to stop on the drive along the Pacific Highway. The nearby beach resort of Old Bar is often considered a part of the Taree urban area.

Dorrigo National Park

Dorrigo National Park is a national park in the Mid-North Coast region of New South Wales, home to one of the last rainforests from Gondwana left standing today and by far the most visited of all the UNESCO World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia.
Kempsey

Kempsey is a town in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia and is the council seat for Kempsey Shire. It is located roughly 16.5 kilometres inland from the coast of the Pacific Ocean, on the Macleay Valley Way near where the Pacific Highway and the North Coast railway line cross the Macleay River.

Coolongolook

Coolongolook is a highway town along the Pacific Highway in the Mid-North Coast region of New South Wales. Unlike many other towns along the Pacific that have been bypassed by four- to six-lane freeways, the Pacific runs right through the middle of town.
Stroud

Stroud is a small town of 988 along The Bucketts Way in the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. Although somewhat run-down from the outside, the town is primarily visited by travellers as a stopover en route to the Gloucester Tops section of Barrington Tops National Park.
