It is the oldest cathedral in Germany and the largest religious structure in Trier, notable for its long life span and grand design. The Karl Marx statue is a monument located on Simeonstiftplatz in Trier. It was unveiled on May 5, 2018, to mark the 200th anniversary of Karl Marx's birth in his hometown.
