POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is a museum dedicated to preserving and recalling the memory of the history of Jews in Poland. Umschlagplatz was the term used during The Holocaust to denote the holding areas adjacent to railway stations in occupied Poland where Jews from ghettos were assembled for deportation to Nazi death camps.

Muranów is a neighbourhood in the districts of Śródmieście and Wola in central Warsaw, the capital of Poland. It was founded in the 17th century. The name is derived from the palace belonging to Simone Giuseppe Belotti, a Venetian architect, who originally came to Warsaw from the island of Murano.
