Luitpold Tower

The Luitpold Tower was erected in 1909 on the summit of one of the highest hills in the Palatine Forest, the 610-metre-high Weißenberg as an observation tower. It is made of bunter sandstone. Luitpold Tower is situated 1¼ km northwest of Ritterstein 53 ‘Geschützt’.

The Hortenkopf is a hill, 606 metres above sea level, in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, which lies in the middle of the Palatine Forest between Hofstätten and Leimen. Hortenkopf is situated 3 km north of Ritterstein 53 ‘Geschützt’.
