Taj Mahal metro station

Taj Mahal metro station is the under-ground station of the Yellow Line of the Agra Metro. This station is owned by the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation, and was opened to the public on 6 March 2024.

Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the right bank of the river Yamuna in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was commissioned in 1631 by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. Taj Mahal is situated 1 km northeast of Taj Mahal metro station.

The Agra Fort is a historical Mughal fort in the city of Agra, also known as Agra's Red Fort. Mughal emperor Humayun was crowned at this fort in 1530. It was later renovated by the Mughal emperor Akbar from 1565 and the present-day structure was completed in 1573. Agra Fort is situated 2 km northwest of Taj Mahal metro station.

An equestrian statue is a statue of a rider mounted on a horse, from the Latin eques, meaning 'knight', deriving from equus, meaning 'horse'. A statue of a riderless horse is strictly an equine statue. Equestrian statue is situated 1¼ km northwest of Taj Mahal metro station.
