Castle Branzoll is on the southern slope of Mount Säben, below the Säben Abbey, and somewhat above the city of Klausen in South Tyrol, Italy. Blackmoor, the first fantasy roleplaying game campaign setting, used a kit model of the castle to represent the titular Castle Blackmoor.

Säben Abbey was a Benedictine nunnery located near Klausen in South Tyrol, northern Italy. It was established in 1687, when it was first settled by the nuns of Nonnberg Abbey in Salzburg. The last nuns left the abbey in 2021.

Klausen is a town in South Tyrol, included in the list of "most beautiful towns in Italy". It is located along the Eisack river. Geographically, is located about thirty kilometers north of Bolzano and about ten kilometers south of Brixen in the Eisack valley area.
